The optional allocation stage

A fixed contribution milestone and a permanent change to a migrated route’s allocations.

Optional and fixed at opening

An ordinary migration needs no stage. When enabled, the opening fixes a liquidity share X, a cumulative backing-contribution milestone, a release share Y and its release actions. Y ≤ X. Creator edits cannot reverse the stage’s fixed terms or its permanent switch.

Before and after the milestone

StateAllocation
Before switchOrdinary action shares + X = 100%.
After switchOrdinary action shares + (X − Y) + release action shares Y = 100%.

Seed backing and the routed liquidity share count toward the cumulative contribution milestone. At the first applicable route run after it is reached, the route permanently reduces the liquidity share from X to X−Y and activates the configured release allocation. Ordinary editable actions occupy the remaining share.

Contributions and held allocations

A contribution total measures backing added. It is not a guarantee that the same amount stays permanently in-range, protected as floor cash or exempt from normal treasury powers. Trading, recentering and authorized treasury operations continue under their ordinary rules.

Held allocations, failed release actions and dust retain exactly-once intake accounting across the switch. A recipient or conversion failure must preserve its reserved allocation rather than charging intake again or preventing unrelated ordinary actions from running.

A stage is not a governance delay

The milestone changes a route allocation; it does not schedule Safe authority, impose a migration waiting period or restrict governor appointment. An approved opening can execute immediately whether or not a stage is selected.
